In 1989 a Welshman walked into his local bookie and placed wagers of £30 on several events taking place before the year 2000. The odds of all of these happening were a staggering 6,479 to 1, but just a few days into this millennium, the lucky Welshman had won £194,400 which makes it the biggest novelty bet ever.
4. Ashley Revell Lays Everything on One Spin
Back in 2004, young Brit Ashley Revell got rid of everything. He even sold his clothes. Altogether he ended up with $135,300.

 

 

Revell then traveled to Las Vegas and bet all of it on one roulette spin. He won and went back to England with twice the money he had left with.
